Resort Information
The Espace San Bernardo is an innovative ski area that is ideal for a diverse range of ski and riding activities. The varied landscape features villages and valleys, pisted runs through trees, couloirs and un-spoilt spaces. 160 km of ski slopes, 2 ski resorts: La Rosière and La Thuile, and 2 countries [France and Italy].
Boarder Cross
The boarder-cross is located under the Fort chairlift in a red-runs area. This area was designed to be an introduction to boarder-cross: banked corners, starting blocks and slalom doors.
Snow-kite Zone
A snow-kiting school area, has been created at the Petit St Bernard pass, where snow and wind conditions are ideal for beginners as well as for the more experienced.
The Petit St Bernard pass, nestled in the heart of the Espace San Bernardo ski area and accessible by ski-lifts in winter, is known as one of the most beautiful places in the Alps for snow-kiting. With its very large accumulations of snow, varied terrain and steady winds that blow between the Tarentaise and Aosta valleys, it is a perfect location for learning how to snow-kite. A school zone, unique in Savoy, was founded there in 2007, and the French Championships are held each winter.
“La Poletta” Snowpark
“La Poletta” Snowpark was laid out to allow riders to choose intuitive paths based on their level : green, blue and red.
Reached by the Poletta lift, it offers: sound system, daily presence of a shaper, Fun Box, Rails, Hip, Big Air, handrails, tables (3 red, 3 blue, 3 green), 300 m long to 50 m vertical. A spot not to be missed…
“Les Zittieux” Off piste zone
“Les Zittieux” snow-cross is a secured off-piste zone, it features a great view over High Tarentaise valley.
It is served by two lifts : the Sévolière draglift, and the Roches Noires Express chairlift. Over 720 m of descent, it passes through the forest to join the Fontaine Froide piste, for a low risk approach to freeriding …
